Angus Hung: Chief Executive Officer & Co-founder
Angus is the co-founder of QRMO Limited. Prior to becoming a founding partner of QRMO, Angus was the Asia Pacific Regional Head of Risk Management for Mizuho Securities Asia where he oversaw all of market risk, credit risk, operational risk and product control areas. Managed the risk of the Bank’s proprietary CB Arbitrage and Volatility Arbitrage hedge fund. He was a key member of the Bank’s Risk Control Committee in assessing new business and trading initiatives.
Previously, he spent over seven years at BNP Paribas where he was Risk Manager of the Hong Kong Branch and was responsible for assessing the market risks of the fixed income, equity derivatives and treasury trading entity. Angus holds a Masters of Philosophy in Finance degree and Bachelor degree in Information Systems from the City University of Hong Kong.
Albert Chiu : CA, CFA – President & Co-founder
Albert is the co-founder of QRMO Limited. Prior to setting up the company, Albert was employed by Mizuho Securities Asia and was the Deputy Head of Risk Management in the Asia Pacific region where he was responsible for overseeing the market risk management, product control and operational risk management functions.
He was a member of the Bank’s Risk Control Committee in assessing new business and trading initiatives. Prior to this, Albert was with Credit Suisse First Boston and Barclays Capital, where he was responsible for examining operations in various locations within the region to assess business adherence to local regulatory requirements, as well as their operational effectiveness in the local markets. Albert received his Masters in Management from Rotman School of Management of the University of Toronto.
Michael Langton – Head of Sales & Marketing
Michael oversees all of QRMO’s sales and marketing initiatives. Since the company’s inception in mid-2006 he has secured over 75 hedge fund clients with active clients having a combined USD5 billion in aggregate AUM. Prior to QRMO, Michael was Deputy Head of Treasury Risk Management for International Bank of Asia Limited (currently known as Fubon Bank Hong Kong) where he oversaw the treasury department’s market, liquidity and credit risks and was instrumental in helping the bank implement its VaR framework in order to meet Basel II standards.
Michael has also worked with Investcorp and Bahrain Middle East Bank performing private equity related due diligence on both portfolio companies and prospective investments. Michael received a Bachelor’s in Finance from Lehigh University, USA, and an MBA from DePaul University, USA.
